Major sys-side publications

From Post-Self

There are several major publications that have become fundamental to both sys-side and phys-side. Of note in the setting are the following, though doubtless there are several more.

On the Perils of Memory

See also: Qoheleth

On the Perils of Memory is a book published in 182 by Ioan and Codrin Bălan detailing the events leading up to and shortly following Qoheleth's assassination. This was accompanied by a private document prepared for the Ode clade's eyes only. Later, in the early 230s, this was adapted to the stage by Ioan.

On the Origins of Our World

See also: Toledot

On the Origins of Our World comprised An Extended History of Our World (also known as "the History") by the Bălan clade, a history of the System from Secession to Launch told over several volumes, and An Extended Mythology of Our World by May Then My Name of the Ode clade. The History became the Bălans most widely read work and lead to several changes both sys- and phys-side, including being one of the texts referenced by the perpetrators of the Century Attack.

Individuation and Reconciliation

I&R was the third major work by the Ode clade, written by Ioan and Aurel Bălan surrounding the assassination of True Name and the origins of Sasha.

Ode

See also: Selected Letters

Ode was a book published by Sasha in 2365, retelling much of the events of the History from the inside, as it were, with Sasha lending insight from her time living as True Name to the matters, as well as expressing the ways in which the History was shaped. It also marked the first time AwDae's name (as RJ Brewster) was published sys-side.

Protocanon
This is information that is in development, nice to have, or generally accepted within the community, yet which is unrelated to any of the canon.

"The Convergence with Artemis: First Contact" was a paper written by Codrin Bălan#Castor after the encounter with Artemis and the meetings that followed. Largely an academic paper rather than a more personal work, it remained popular as the first major description of the events of first contact.
