"Support Group for Anomalies in Forking" by Michael Miele follows Ernie as he visits the eponymous group, a collection of individuals who all experience unique effects while forking for various reasons:
- Melanie forks into an animate collection of forks, calling herself Metalanie.
- Samantha's face grows steadily more abstract with each fork.
- David, an old biology teacher, forks into various systems of the body with each progressive fork: muscles, bones, nerves, circulatory, etc.
- Devonian, a furry with a wide variety of fursonas, forks into different ones each time, and when they merge down, their root instance picks up features of each.
- Ernie gets so tired after forking that he falls asleep immediately, often missing things...like attending the meeting itself; his other instance had already gotten there before him.
It turns out that the group itself is huge, and that several people sys-side have various anomalies crop up while forking.
