Instance

From Post-Self

An instance is one whole individual who may or may not have other near-identical instances present on the System. An instance is of a cladist, entirely independent but not yet individuated. When an instance individuates, they become a new cladist. Many taskers have only one instance and never fork at all, whereas trackers and dispersionistas likely have many instances. All of the mechanics of the System and the means by which one interacts with the world apply to instances. Cladists, by contrast, are a social construct, an identity that does not have a corporeal representation. It is an instance who quits, who forks, who talks, and who sleeps.
