"Sufficiently Advanced" is a short story by Rob MacWolf that follows the process of investigating two sides of the same idea by forking twice, letting the two new up-tree instances argue their side of the idea. It follows Theodred as he forks twice — once into Theodulfr and once into Theosophia — to debate whether or not the mechanics of the System might be called magic.
