Point of view characters

Ioan Bălan

Nonbinary DMAB, Romanian, very thoughtful and calm, which is often a front for confusion or getting lost in eir thoughts or in autistic hyperfixation. Ey's been working in theatre for quite a while now and has opened up more.

Debarre

Cis man, a bit snarky, very politically active with strong beliefs he'll maybe get a bit shouty about

Major characters

True Name/Sasha

Cis woman, comes in three stages:

  • True Name: overworked, frazzled, anxious, maybe a little afraid, but doing her best to remain in control and stay professional — usually, she succeeds
  • True Name+End Waking: voice gets quieter, clearer, speaks less
  • True Name+End Waking+May Then My Name (later called Sasha): still professional and in control, but opens up emotionally, laughs more easily, more friendly

End Waking

Cis man, quiet, calm, enunciates clearly and deliberately

May Then My Name

Cis woman, personal, romantic, soft, maybe a little cute, everyone falls a little in love with her. Enunciates clearly and deliberately etc. etc.

Zacharias

Cis man, British???, posh, fancy, snarky, smarmy, kind of an asshole. Enunciates clearly/deliberately

Jonas Anderson

Cis man, British, suave and slick politician, but also is kind of cracking, running a little too hot

Sarah Genet

Cis woman, French Canadian/First Nations, older, calm, empathetic, very therapist.

Minor characters

A Finger Pointing

Cis woman, dramatic, lilting, very theatre teacher. Enunciates clearly and deliberately

Slow Hours

Cis woman, calm, a bit dreamy/prophetic but hardly over the top, enunciates clearly and deliberately

Serene

Cis woman, snarky and fun, very focused on her art, enunciates clearly and deliberately

Douglas Hadje

Cis man, nerdy, emotional
